How It Works
Creating a Fond portrait is simple. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you order to the day it arrives.
Step 1 — Upload your photo
At checkout, you'll upload the photo you want to use. Any clear, well-lit phone photo works. Your pet's face should be visible and in focus — that's really all we need. Not sure if your photo will work? Upload it anyway. We accept 98% of photos submitted, and if yours needs adjustment we'll contact you before printing.
Step 2 — Choose your art style
You'll choose from three art styles:
- Watercolour — soft, warm, painterly. The most popular choice for dogs and cats.
- Oil portrait — rich and deep. The natural choice for a memorial keepsake or formal portrait.
- Sketch — clean, fine-line, graphic. Looks stunning in a simple frame.
You'll see a live preview of your portrait before you add to cart. What you see in the preview is what you'll receive.
Step 3 — We review your order
Before your portrait goes to print, our team reviews both the photo and the preview. If anything looks like it might affect quality, we'll reach out. You'll never receive a print we haven't checked first.
Step 4 — We print and ship it
Your portrait prints in 3–5 business days, then ships within 1–2 days of completion. US domestic delivery takes 5–7 days after shipping. Total time from order to door: 8–14 days.
You'll receive a shipping notification with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
What if something isn't right?
If your finished portrait doesn't match what you saw in the preview, we'll reprint or refund in full. No forms, no waiting, no questions asked. Your satisfaction is the only measure of quality we care about.
Gift orders
Enter any delivery address at checkout to ship directly to the recipient. Add a note and we'll include a handwritten card. All orders ship in clean, gift-ready packaging.
Memorial orders
If you're ordering in memory of a pet you've lost, add a note at checkout. Memorial orders are handled with extra care — in how they're made and how they arrive.
